Leybold ECODRY plus
ECODRY plus is Leybold's dry multistage Roots vacuum pump that operates completely without oil. The range covers flow rates of 25–65 m³/h and is particularly suited to laboratory and analytical applications requiring low noise and cleanliness.
Applications and suitability
ECODRY plus is designed for environments where noise level, cleanliness, and maintenance-free operation are decisive. The pump is typically used as a backing pump for turbomolecular pumps, but is also suitable for standalone use in applications where an oil-lubricated pump is not an option. Typical applications:

Models and technical data
The ECODRY plus range is divided into two size classes. The ECODRY 25 plus and 35 plus are compact pumps weighing under 30 kg with a single controller compatible with all voltage ranges. The ECODRY 40 plus, 65 plus, and 65 He plus are larger, available in two separate voltage versions (EU/Asia and North America). The ECODRY 65 He plus is optimized for helium and other noble gases and has no gas ballast line, eliminating one potential leak point in closed helium circuits.

Why ECODRY plus?
Quiet operation: ECODRY plus runs at 52 dB(A) at ultimate pressure, quieter than a typical conversation. A non-contact rotor mechanism, air cooling, and an integrated silencer keep the workspace calm even during continuous operation.
Completely oil-free: The pumping section is dry and contains no oil, particles, or dust. This prevents process contamination, making it especially well suited to laboratory and analytical applications requiring cleanliness.
Maintenance-free for up to five years: Non-contact rotors and sealed PFPE lubrication mean no oil or seals need replacing for five years or 35,000 operating hours.
Compact and portable: The ECODRY 25 plus and 35 plus weigh under 30 kg and fit even in a small laboratory. All models feature integrated wheels, so the pump can be moved without lifting.
Smart control: An integrated control panel, USB port, and RS485/MODBUS bus allow the pump to be connected as part of your equipment. With a pressure sensor, the pump automatically switches to eco mode once vacuum is reached, reducing both energy consumption and noise. The LEYASSIST software connects directly to the pump via USB or RS485 and requires no cloud service, so your pump's operating data stays within your own system.

Lifecycle from purchase to maintenance
ECODRY plus is designed for long-lasting, maintenance-free operation. The lifecycle from procurement to maintenance proceeds smoothly, stage by stage, when acquisition, commissioning, and contingency planning are managed properly.
Purchase and commissioning
Initial period and warranty
A new Leybold vacuum pump comes with a manufacturer's warranty. As Leybold's official dealer, we handle any warranty claims directly, which streamlines the process.
Preventive maintenance
ECODRY plus requires no oil changes or other regular maintenance during operation. We recommend a monthly visual inspection and cleaning the inlet screen once a year. At five years or 35,000 operating hours, the pump is returned to a Leybold service center for inspection and renewal of the bearings and controller. We help schedule this process and arrange the service on your behalf.
Managing downtime
If your vacuum process can't tolerate an unexpected shutdown, we arrange a replacement pump for use until maintenance is complete and your vacuum pump is back in service.
