Vacuum pumps
Choosing a vacuum pump is a technical decision, where flow rate, ultimate pressure, and process gas determine the right direction. Here you'll find industrial and scientific vacuum pumps, along with their applications and technical specifications.
We are an official Leybold distributor.
Vacuum pumps for demanding processes
Vacuum processes in industry and research place demands on pumps that vary significantly depending on the application. Flow rate, ultimate pressure, process gas, and operating environment together determine which pump type and model is the best fit.
Our range covers vacuum pumps for both industrial and research needs: oil-sealed pumps for continuous process use, small dry pumps for laboratory and analytical applications, and industrial dry pumps for demanding processes with flow rates of 200–1,600 m³/h. Used pumps are also available for rent, for short-term needs or as replacements during service.
Vacuum pumps by type
Below you'll find vacuum pumps organized by operating principle and application, so you can quickly find the right pump type. We sell Leybold vacuum pumps, with a range that broadly covers a wide variety of applications.
Oli-sealed pumps
The industry standard for rough to medium vacuum where the process doesn't require oil-free operation. Suited to continuous process use, and handles moisture and variable conditions well. Flow rates span a wide range, from 10 to 5,000 m³/h.
Scientific vacuum pumps
A range put together specifically for laboratory and research applications. Laboratory environments place particular demands on pumps: cleanliness, quiet operation, and a compact size. The range covers both oil-sealed and dry pumps, with flow rates from 0.6 to 65 m³/h.

Small dry pumps
Oil-free pumps for applications where the process requires a clean vacuum without the risk of oil contamination. Suited to analytical instruments, research use, and lighter industrial applications. With flow rates under 60 m³/h, the range spans from diaphragm pumps to scroll and Roots pumps.

Industrial dry pumps
Oil-free screw pumps for demanding industrial processes. The dry operating principle means the process gas never comes into contact with the lubricant, a requirement in many chemical, coating, and energy industry applications. Long maintenance intervals and high availability, with flow rates from 80 to 1,600 m³/h.

What to consider when choosing a vacuum pump
Vacuum processes vary significantly depending on the application. Industrial and research applications each have their own requirements, and even within the same sector, every process is unique. Flow rate and ultimate pressure are the starting point, but the nature of the process gas, oil-free requirements, operating environment, and serviceability all play an equal role in choosing the right pump type and model.
Technical selection criteria
Choosing the right pump type comes before choosing the model. Flow rate and ultimate pressure narrow down the right technology, but the nature of the process gas plays an equally important role. Dry or humid gas, aggressive chemicals, or specific cleanliness requirements can rule out certain pump types entirely. Once the pump type is established, the specific model is narrowed down based on flow rate and operating pressure.
Operating environment
Maintenance and repairs
Different pump types require different maintenance. Oil-sealed pumps need regular oil changes and filter servicing, dry pumps less often but with a bigger job when it's due. Availability of spare parts in Finland significantly shortens downtime compared to overseas deliveries. If the process is critical, it's worth checking the availability of a replacement pump for service or unexpected faults already at the purchasing stage.
