Leybold NEO
NEO (S)D is Leybold's two-stage, oil-lubricated rotary vane pump, a next-generation alternative for industrial and research vacuum applications. It pumps in the rough and medium vacuum range and also serves as a backing pump for turbomolecular pumps. A strong choice especially for applications requiring low noise and minimal maintenance.

The pump serves as a backing pump for turbomolecular pumps, and its quiet operation and long service intervals make it especially well suited to processes requiring cleanliness and minimal maintenance. NEO (S)D is available in five size classes, covering flow rates from 16 to 65 m³/h. All models operate at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz supply frequency, with three motor options available: three-phase, single-phase, and frequency-converter-driven.

Why NEO?
Integrated exhaust filter: The filter is built into the oil housing, eliminating the need for a separate external filter. This reduces the pump's footprint and keeps the exhaust clean during operation. According to the manufacturer, this results in up to 1,000 times less oil loss compared to conventional externally filtered rotary vane pumps.
Quiet operation: Noise level 52–57 dB(A) depending on the model, making NEO (S)D suitable for sensitive measurement environments and spaces where sound level matters as well.

Lifecycle from purchase to maintenance
NEO is designed for continuous operation without specific usage restrictions, and its design has been kept simple for ease of maintenance. The lifecycle from procurement to maintenance proceeds smoothly, stage by stage, when acquisition, commissioning, maintenance, and contingency planning are handled under one roof.
Purchase and commissioning
Choosing the right model is based on the required pumping speed and application. Five size classes are available, ranging from 16 to 65 m³/h, along with different motor options depending on the application. NEO (S)D is delivered pre-filled with oil and ready to use, and its compact design reduces space requirements and simplifies installation. We're happy to help you select the right size class and motor option.
Initial period and warranty
The first oil change is done after 150 operating hours, after which the service interval extends up to three years in clean applications, depending on the process. A new Leybold vacuum pump comes with a manufacturer's warranty. As Leybold's dealer, we handle any warranty claims directly.
Preventive maintenance
NEO (S)D is designed for long service intervals. Maintenance needs are centered on oil changes and exhaust filter replacement, and the interval between these can extend to three years in clean applications. The necessary oils and filters are available directly from our stock.
Managing downtime
If your vacuum process can't tolerate an unexpected shutdown, we arrange a replacement pump for use until we repair the fault. Field service is also available through us.
